Sensory-Inclusive Experiences at The Ford Idaho Center
At The Ford Idaho Center, we are proud to be a sensory-inclusive venue, thoughtfully designed to support all guests and all needs. We’re committed to enhancing the experience of every guest, one step at a time. For individuals who may be sensitive to loud or sudden noises, pyrotechnics, flashing lights, or other sensory triggers, our Guest Services team is here to help. We offer resources such as noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and more to ensure a comfortable, welcoming, and enjoyable visit for everyone.
Step 1: Arrival & Parking
When arriving at the Ford Idaho Center, there are four main access points to enter the parking lots:
- Two entrances on Idaho Center Blvd
- Two entrances on Franklin Road
Parking is $10 per vehicle, and both cash and credit/debit cards are accepted at all entry points.
Step 2: Security
As you approach the venue, you’ll notice security personnel wearing bright yellow vests/ shirts. These team members are here to ensure your safety and the safety of everyone at the venue.
To make your arrival easier, many events offer a Fast Pass option, which allows you to enter through a less crowded area. Fast Passes can be purchased in advance through ICTickets, if available for your specific event.
When you reach the entrance, security will ask you to walk through a metal detector. Before doing so, please be prepared to empty your pockets of any items.
To understand what you can and cannot bring into the venue, we recommend reviewing your event’s specific page and the Ford Idaho Center’s VENUE POLICY for the most up-to-date information.
Step 3: Entering the Arena or Amphitheater
For events held in the Arena, you will enter through the double doors into the main concourse. Please note that this area can become crowded, as it’s where you’ll find concessions, merchandise booths, and restrooms.
There will be signs posted throughout the concourse to help guide you to your seats. If you need assistance, any Ford Idaho Center employee will be happy to help you find your way.
To plan ahead, you can view our venue map, which shows seating sections, restrooms, concessions, and merchandise locations. Guest Services, where all sensory-inclusive resources are available will be located between the CBH Main Entry and Entry 2.
For all Amphitheater events, Guest Services will be located in the same spot as always; however, you can access it through the double doors just outside the VIP area.
All Amphitheater events take place outdoors. If you have a lawn seat, please note that seating is first come, first served on the grassy area. Some events may offer reserved seating options, depending on the event setup.
You’ll find concessions, merchandise booths, and restrooms located around the concourse area of the Amphitheater.
Step 4: Your Sensory Bag
When you visit Guest Services to receive your Sensory Bag, here’s what you can expect inside:
- Noise-Canceling Headphones – To help reduce overwhelming sounds
- Fidget Tools – Great for calming and focus
- Lanyard – To help staff easily recognize and support sensory guests
- Cue Card for Nonverbal Communication – A helpful resource for nonverbal guests to express needs or feelings
Step 5: Your Seats and Experience
Whether your event is in the Amphitheater or the Arena, please be aware that these spaces can become crowded and dark. Many performers use bright, moving lights, flashing effects, occasional pyrotechnics, and loud, sudden noises as part of their show.
If you or someone in your group may be sensitive to these elements, we encourage you to stop by Guest Services to pick up a Sensory Bag. These tools are designed to help make your experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
