Ford Idaho Center Arena celebrates 25 years and Ford Idaho Horse Park celebrates 20 years

NAMPA, Idaho (May 16, 2022) – 2022 is a year of celebration as the Ford Idaho Center Arena and the Ford Idaho Center Horse Park partner with CBS2 to commemorate milestone anniversaries.

In 1997, the Ford Idaho Center Arena opened its doors with the support of the City of Nampa and the collaboration of the Snake River Stampede. Since then, the Ford Idaho Center has been the live event & entertainment center of the Treasure Valley.  To further compliment the arena, the Ford Idaho Horse Park opened to serve the local community by being a home for equestrian events that would become internationally known.

Throughout 25 years of growth in the Treasure Valley the Ford Idaho Center complex including the arena, horse park and sports center, and amphitheater has been an integral part of the history and memories of so many residents.  General Manager, Andrew Luther give this call to action: “The staff at the Ford Idaho Center is calling on the residents of the Treasure Valley to share their memories at this incredible facility. We are asking our community to share their pictures, videos, or any mementos so that everyone can reflect on 25 years of history.”   Luther continues, “there are so many events & people to celebrate, we’d like to thank the City of Nampa and the Snake River Stampede for making the collaborative decision to build these facilities. The economic impact, world class entertainment, and lifelong memories created are a legacy that will surpass us all.”

To commemorate these memories, CBS2 is partnering on a historical project: Ford Idaho Center Through the Years, celebrating the impact of the complex from the voice and perspective of those who make it matter most: local residents.  Now through September 5, 2022 everyone is invited to find their photos, videos, news articles, and more and share them at the Celebrating the Ford Idaho Center page at www.idahonews.com/chimein.   October will host a celebration about Ford Idaho Center through the eyes of guests and partners who help define what it means to them.
